Berk’s Nest in association with PBJ Management present
Graham Dickson: Timber
Underbelly Cowgate: 2nd – 26th August: 5.30pm
Returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe after a highly successful debut year, Graham Dickson brings his new show Timber to the Underbelly’s Iron Belly.
Hollywood has fallen.
In a golden land once filled with promise, what happened when the cameras stopped rolling? When the well ran dry? When all the women – well, they just left. Went somewhere nicer. Now, one woman is going back to track down ‘The Bear’ in Dickson’s dystopian character-comedy fantasia of nonsense, mystery and hilarity.
Timber is a dark and silly look at the world of men, movies and loneliness performed by Graham Dickson and directed by Hamish MacDougall – the dream team behind last year’s critically acclaimed The Narcissist.
Graham is an actor, writer and improviser. He is one of the founding members of the award-winning sell-out show Austentatious (★★★★★ The Times, ★★★★ The Guardian) and the founder and director of The Free Association, London’s leading improv theatre and school, where he teaches and performs weekly. He trained at some of the world’s most prestigious drama schools including the New York Film Academy, UCB Theatre (New York) and East 15 Acting School. His debut Edinburgh Festival Fringe show The Narcissist garnered critical praise across the board.
His TV acting credits include Derren Brown: Pushed to the Edge, A Granny’s Guide to the Modern World and Cyber Hijack (all Channel 4), Borderline (Channel 5), Drifters (E4),). As a writer, he won Soho Theatre’s Westminster Prize for short playwriting, with his play Divine. He also wrote the short films What Remains and Cream.
