“Jayde Adams is the 3rd funniest woman in the world. Fact” – Dawn French
Multi award-winning comedian Jayde Adams arrives at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her highly anticipated debut solo show Jayde 31, performing at the Voodoo Rooms French Quarter from the 8th – 29th August at 10.30pm.
Jayde first took to the stage at 7 years old, freestyle disco dancing in a sequined lycra onesie with her sister, think the Kray’s, only camper, covered in diamantes and having more tantrums. Jayde couldn’t dance. She had no confidence. But with turning 31 things have changed. Now she is an octuple threat (comedian, singer, dancer, actress, clown, beatboxer, rapper & piano player). This show is all about the last 31 years of Jayde Adams existence. “Ultimately, this is a show that celebrates being unapologetically yourself, not taking life too seriously and refusing to care too much what other people think.” The F Word
You might not know Jayde Adams’ name now, but you will.
In 2014 Jayde won the annual Funny Women Award, celebrating Britain’s funniest up and coming comedians. That same year she won the London Cabaret Awards Audience Award.
Jayde made her TV acting debut in late 2015 in Russell Howard’s A Gert Lush Christmas on BBC Two. She was also in Spencer Jones’ Christmas Short for Sky Arts and On Demand and has a guest role in Channel 5’s new comedy series Borderline alongside Kerry Howard, David Elms and Liz Kingsman.
Jayde’s talent also encompasses being an extremely in-demand and exciting writer performer. She currently has scripted projects in development with Miranda Hart and David Walliams’ production company King Bert, Head of Sky Comedy Lucy Lumsden and another project with Hat Trick. Channel 4 have also recently given her a script commission.
