Matt Price:
Last Night A Weegie Saved My Life

Gilded Balloon Wee Room: 1st – 26th August: 7pm

The BFG of Comedy Matt Price brings his newest hour of stand-up hilarity, Last Night A Weegie Saved My Life, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from the 1st – 26th August.

Matt, the gentlest and most genial of comics, could worry for Britain. Past tales of his tangle with the Turkish Mafia, an odd upbringing and other outrageous stories, have revealed that he has had plenty to worry about. But now he is worrying about women. He has never raised so much as an inappropriate eyebrow in the direction of a lady, but that doesn’t stop him worrying. He has, he explains in this deeply, darkly personal show, been worried since he was seven years old. And he is very worried now, in case anything he says is taken the wrong way in these highly charged times.

Matt is taking us down the long dark tunnel of his soul to examine memories good, bad, and occasionally ugly. And worry about them, of course. But if anyone can make light in the darkness, Matt can.

Cornishman Matt Price has been a professional comedian for over ten years, performed in 30 countries including Australia, Dubai, South East Asia, Turkey, Scandanavia and across Europe. He is known for storytelling comedy but also for his ability to connect with an audience in a way that makes each gig feel unique, making him an in-demand compere at clubs such as Glee and Komedia. He has opened for Stephen K Amos on tour, as well as Russell Kane and Norman Lovett. He is also the co-creator of Natural Born Storytellers – a very popular storytelling night at the Camden Comedy Club (Camden Head) in Camden.

In a world spikey with nastiness, come and enjoy one of the nice guys. He’ll only worry if you don’t.
