Naomi Petersen

I Am Telling You I’m Not Going

Pleasance Cellar: 3rd – 29th August

I Am Telling You I’m Not Going is the hilarious debut from character comedian Naomi Petersen. Naomi is agoraphobic and has taken up residence at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s Pleasance Cellar, where she has been allowed to stay provided she performs a show from the 3rd to the 29th August at 3:30pm.

Naomi has been living in the Pleasance Cellar for almost a year now, after witnessing a piece of Fringe Theatre so gruelling that it triggered an onset of severe agoraphobia. But she’s making the best of it. Join her for an hour of songs, colourful characters, sketches and a bit of self-help all about overcoming your anxiety. There’s no way (no, no, no way) you can afford to miss it.

Naomi Petersen has appeared on E4’s Drifters, and starred as Georgia Nicholson in the world premiere of Mick Perrin’s 5 star stage comedy Angus, Thongs and Even More Snogging at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. She produces and stars in improv supergroup The Free Association, alongside comics Ivan Gonzalez (Max and Ivan), Liz Smith (Massive Dad), David Elms and Graham Dickson (Austentatious).

In 2014 Naomi co-wrote and co-performed her critically acclaimed two-woman show Do We Have To Decide Yet? with Miranda’s Margaret Cabourn-Smith, which enjoyed a sell-out run at The Camden Fringe.
