Underbelly: Delhi Belly – 3rd – 27th August

Irreverent and off-kilter theatrical stand up Patrick Turpin returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year with his new show Itty Bitty Little Titty Piece directed by Lou Sanders.

Is Turpy special? Yes. Is Turpy talented? Yes. Would Turpy like to go to Hollywood? Most definitely.

Turpy (aka Patrick Turpin) presents an hour of unrelenting ass-flapping sitting somewhere between comedy, theatre, and the weirder section of performance art. Who deserves to be heard? Turpy does as he tries to figure out what it means to be a lush, white, hetero-boring man in 2017. Skewering contemporary masculinity and ruminating as to whether self-obsession has destroyed our sense of kinship and social compassion, he does this all while exploring the artifice of performance art. Mainly though, Turpy wants to show off his slick skills and walk amongst the stars in Hollywood.
Patrick made his TV debut in 2016 as a principle cast member in the 4Music sketch show Pop Sludge and has since gone on to appear in Climaxed on BBC3. His previous Edinburgh show To Me, You Are Perfect went on to receive an online release as part of the new on-demand comedy platform Next Up.

Having started off in comedy as part of The Leeds Tealights, Patrick has since gone on to become a regular on London’s alternative comedy scene and has performed at some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Lattitude, Glastonbury, End of the Road, Green Man, Cornbury and Machynlleth Comedy Festival.
