No Such Thing As A Fish Vinyl
The QI Elves – the researchers behind BBC’s hit comedy panel show QI – have signed to indie label Alcopop! Records to release the UK’s first ever vinyl podcast.
Each purchase will include not only an exclusive episode of the award winning podcast, No Such Thing As A Fish on 12” vinyl (listen out for the cameo from Slipknot frontman and QI fan Corey Taylor!), but also access to the full first year of episodes. Released late last year and launched at the QI Elves’ biggest live show to date at London’s 1000 capacity West End Lyric theatre as part of their UK-wide 2015-16 tour.
The fifty-two podcast episodes that accompany the vinyl feature appearances from the likes of Blackadder producer and QI creator, John Lloyd; Pixar and Saturday Night Live writer, Simon Rich; TV presenter, Victoria Coren Mitchell; Belgium’s leading physicist comedian, Lieven Scheire; and Horrible Histories historian, Greg Jenner, to name a few.
Mark Watson Flaws DVD
In this personal, thought provoking adventure, Watson examines his own character flaws and reflects on the many ways in which humans get life wrong, taking in – among other subjects – alcohol, self-doubt, the fear of passing ill-fated traits onto your children, the difficulty of making friends and a funny thing that happened at the Post Office.
The award-winning, fast talking comic also weaves in a terrifying bit involving balloons and an uplifting, feel good ending where he finds that humans, despite our lack of perfection, are pretty spectacular. He may not have all the answers to life’s most serious questions, but ‘Flaws’ has humored and touched every generation of comedy fan across the country (and Australia) over the past year.
