Vena Ramphal is a modern relationships expert, known in the media for making conversations about sex comfortable, uplifting and intelligent. Her expertise is in the Indian pleasure traditions of the Kama Sutra and classical Indian dance. She is now the co-host of the new Channel 4 show Seven Year Switch, airing 9.15pm on Tuesdays.
Vena has an international client base which include celebrities and people at the top of their field – sports, the arts, politics, business and royal households. She runs a weekly meditation class in Richmond and has run retreats for women in Bali and Switzerland.
As a relationship expert she regularly appears on TV and Radio talking about love in the age of technology, long distance relationships, celebrity relationships, dating after divorce, divorce parties plus many more. Shows and radio stations she has appeared on include ITV This Morning, Channel 5Star, BBC Asian Network, LBC, BBC 3Counties.
Vena has applied her PhD in Philosophy, Gender and Classical Indian Dance and B.A. in History and Sanskrit, to her work, helping her to understand and celebrate the complexities of relationships while grounded in the healthful ancient wisdom of the Indian traditions of the Kama sutra and Yoga. As a dancer she has performed for royalty, prime ministers and celebrities and now she uses dance to help couples.
As well as celebrities she reaches a much wider audience with events, talks, workshops, classes for the likes of Mind Body Spirit Festival, Alternatives Piccadilly, and lululemon.
She has started to establish an audience in America by teaching on several web-based summits / conferences about relationships and sex. She teaches alongside leaders in the personal development field such as John Gray, Arielle Ford and Marianne Williamson.
