Phoenix Artist Club
With the motto ‘Entertaining Entertainers since 1988’, The Phoenix Artist Club is one of London’s last independently owned and operated venues.
Opened in 1988 by entrepreneur John Mahoney as a brand new and exciting bar-restaurant, the Phoenix Artist Club also became the go-to place for the actors, musicians, singers and workers in the West End.
Pizza Express Live
Curating 3,000 plus events a year (1,500 ticketed shows) across 5 flagship PizzaExpress, the Holborn location (opened in August 2017) becomes London’s newest live venue. Already attracting a varied list of talent across past and present generations from Jessie Ware, Martin Kemp to the Cast of Les Miserables and comedians Harry Hill and Josh Widdecombe.
Influenced by the tastes and passions of its original founder Peter Boizot, a jazz lover who sought to introduce live music into his restaurants since their inception in the late 60’s to the first ticketed event in May ’76, there has been an impressive range of performances over the years. Internationally acclaimed acts who have graced the monochrome floor, include Sting, Cybil Sheppard, Molly Ringwald, Bill Wyman, Bonnie Langford, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Brian May, Gregory Porter, Bud Freeman, Monty Alexander, Rick Wakeman, Milt Hinton, Van Morrison, Melody Gardot, Jamie Cullum, Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse.
